The new silhouette glories in whittled waistlines and, newest of all, hips are being accented with tucks, pleats, gathered-in fullness, pockets and big bows. Many have yokes, others have flare skirts. Some are short and others are long and are so cunningly styled some of them look more like a smart wool dress. An opposite trend is seen in fitted princess types and tunic styles, some of which are double-breasted.
