Show Trout Season Will Open Saturday: Reduced Limit. Trout fishing will begin in earner! earn-er! (his coming Saturday, June 15, when mosl of I he lakes and ; si ream?; will open for fishing. Some districts were opened early because of low wal er, and some (list ricts 1 will open later due to snow and high altitude. i Locally, many fish have been .planted with Oak Creek being planted some time ago. Fool creek reservoir, Die river near Leamington Leaming-ton and the river at the Diversion dam have been planted with trout for the first time in an experiment to determine if they will do well there. Fishermen are asked to report re-port any catches of trout in these are;is lo Olen Slewart, and if it is found thai they will do well there more will he planted, later. But if the fishermen do not report any fish caught there no further plantings plant-ings u ill he made. The daily limit has been reduced this year from 20 fish per day to 15 fish per clay, or eight pounds. This was found necessary because of the far greater number of fishermen fish-ermen who are planning on making mak-ing more trips and doing more fishing fish-ing this year than the hatcheries can keep up with. In southern Utah most of the streams are at very low stages because be-cause of the drouth, which should make better fishing than normally on the opening of the season. |
