Show 1 ' COUNTY COMMITTES READY SE1 OF PLANS FOR RETURNING MEI War veterans and men returning return-ing from wartime industry whe wish to enter farm work will b enabled to do so through the efforts ef-forts of County committees now being set up in Utah, Director W.W Owens, of the Utah Extension Service Ser-vice states. This work will be handled through the committees which wil consist of the county agent anc leaders in every phase of farming activity in the County. Upon being mustered out of the army or released re-leased from industry, men will report re-port to local selective service boards, who will assign them tc the county committees if they indicate in-dicate a preference for farm work or wish to acquire farm land foi themselves. Responsibilities of the committees commit-tees will be six in number, as foi lows: To help those who are undecided undecid-ed about entering agriculture t make sound decision, and advisi regarding the opportunities in non agricultural activities as well a: those in agriculture; To direct and advise those whi are inexperienced in agriculture t obtain proper training either il colleges or in practical agricultun as a farm laborer, or as a tenan before beginning as a farm owner To be able to refer those in neec of special information to sucl sources as will be able to providi the information needed. |
