Show Many Changes Made At Deseret Stake Conference Held in Delta Bishop Ben H. Robison of the Hinckley ward was sustained as a counselor to President Harold R. Morris in the stake presidency at the Stake conference held in Delta Del-ta Sunday. Rulon T. Hinckley, who has moved to Salt Lake was released re-leased as first counselor in the presidency. M. Ward Moody, second counselor was made first counselor, Bishop Robison was sustained in President Moody's place. Delta Third Ward was reorganized reorganiz-ed when Bishop Lorenzo Christen-sen Christen-sen was released as Bishop of the ward. Bishop Christensen has served serv-ed as Bishop of the ward for 20 years. The new bishopric includes, Lalh-el Lalh-el Callister, Bishop Hamilton Mc-Clellan, Mc-Clellan, first counselor and Ned Church, second counselor. Bishop Jackson was released as high councilman -and president of the Adult Aaronic Priesthood. Bishop Bish-op Jackson has moved away. Spencer Spen-cer Nielson was sustained to fill the vacancy left by Bishop Jackson. Jack-son. All the sessions of the conference were well attended. Music consisting consist-ing of the choir under the direction direc-tion of Merlin Christensen and special spe-cial numbers were furnished by the Delta Second Ward. Elder Spencer Kimball of the Council of Twelve gave inspiring talks to the people at the various sessions. Other speakers at the general sessions were Bishop Ben Robison, president M. Ward Moody, Bishop Lalhel Callister, Mrs. Spencer Kimball, Kim-ball, president Harold R. Morris. Merlin Workman and Raymond Finlinson, of the armed forces. |
