The elder powers who made this independence possible smiled benignly. But the smiles already have been replaced by worried frowns. For the new kingdom has become a problem child a child who has been given a present by a bevy of loving uncles and is flaunting it before the neighboring children causing these ungifted ones to howl, but loudly, for some of the same.
