Little Kathy Pabst, daughter 01 Mr. and Mrs. Rolon Pabst held a birthday party last Monday. and a lunch-eon Games were played served to the following guests: David Ekins, David Stevens, Bishop, Alice Gave Bliss, Janet Hurst, Russell Talbot, Lewis Swen-se- n Owen Davis and Susan Reeve. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Holt, Robert Taylor, and Rex Carter stayed in Salt Lake over the week end and visited with fiends and relatives. The students of the Hinckley elementary school presented a Lin- - The first grade sang two songs Four fourth grade girls gave poems and stories after which a volal quartet sang "Dixie". The quartet consisted of Linda Talbot LuWana Workman, Sharon Hardy and Patricia Bishop. The sixth grade students pres. ented two square dances. "Indian Style" and "Marching Through Georgia." SPECIAL MEETING Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the stockhold-ers of the Oasis Seed Plant Co-operative an Agricultural organized under the laws of the State of Utah has been called and will be held at the Oasis ward hall at Oasis, Utah, on March 10, 1952, at 8:00 p. m. for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to amend the Articles of Incorporation of the association in the following particulars: To amend Article I to show the name of the to be "THE OASIS SEED To amend Article VIII, sub sec- - tion "a" in relation to the time and place of holding the annual meeting and election of officers, to provide that there be held on the second Monday in August of each year beginning with the year 1952 at 7:30 p. m. of said day, at Oasis, Utah, an annual meeting of the stockholders of this for the election of members of Board of Directors, hearing of an-nual report and for the transaction of such other business as may lawfully come before the said meeting. The election of members of the Board of Directors shall be rotated in such a manner that in the year 1952 three of the mem-bers of said board shall be elected for a period of 2 years and two of the members of said Board of Directors shall be elected for the period of 1 year. Each year there-after all board members voted up-on will be elected for a period of 2 years, but only one-ha- lf of the board members will be voted upon each year and only one half of the members of the Board of Directors can be changed in any one election year. To amend Article XIV providing for the mutual benefit of members to provide that patrons who have not paid membership dues as pro-vided in the Articles of Incorpora-tion shall not be entitled to pat-ronage refunds or certificates of interest as provided for members, but that the will pay taxes as the revenue code may re-quire upon such business of or patrons doing busin-ess with the Reason-able reserves and surplus funds as determined by the Board of Direc-tors may be set aside from year to year and after setting aside such surplus funds the balance of savings made by the association may be distributed on a patronage basis to the holders of the com-mon stock, who shall have contrib-uted to the business of the assoc- - iation, in proportion to the volume and value of products and business done with the association. Such patronage dividend shall be issued in a certificate of interest which under a revolving fund approved by the Board of Directors shall be evidence of certain credits which are repayable from the revolving capital fund of the association, as the directors may provide. The Articles are to he amended deleting the provision in Article XIV and otherwise which requires members or patrons to sign a mar-keting contract. The proposed amendments were approved by resolution of the Board of Directors at a special meeting called on the 12th day of February, A. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Skeem and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Talbot attended a family and party in Magna last Saturday. Eldon Cahoon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cahoon is enroute from Fort Lewis, Wash., to Virginia, where he will attend meaicai school. Eldon enlisted in the ser-vice Jan. 31. Mr. and Mrs. James C. Bishop and family from Cedar City spent the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop. Last Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson drove to Spring Lake and brought their brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cropper, back with them to spend a few days. Mrs. Lynn Warnick also visited at the Robinson home while her brother and sister were here. The Croppers left Sunday morning to return to their home. Bob Robinson suffered a severe hemmorage of the nose Saturday and was hospitalized until Sunday. At present he is improving. Dale Johnson drove home from the BYU for the weekend, bringing with him Dorothy Corry, Delia Johnson, Edythe Cahoon and Myrl Barney, also BYU students. Sutherland Ward Primary held their Valentine dance Monday afternoon, with dancing and re-freshments for the members.
