Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Cpl. Ladd Kelly has been home on a 25-day furlough visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kelly. He left Wednesday for Salt Lake City where he took a plane for Langley AFB, Va. He is a senior mechanic now and likes his work fine. He expects to leave for overseas over-seas duty shortly. He has been assigned to the European command. com-mand. His parents and sister, Inez Ann, drove to Salt Lake City with him to see him' on his way. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Skeem left April 6 on a trip east. They went to Salt Lake City by train, and there took a plane to New York City, where they went sightseeing. From there they went to Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. .to see the cherry blossoms and sights of the Capitol. Then they went to Detroit for a new car, and drove to Niagara Falls and into Canada. Word home reports that they are having a wonderful time, . Their plans were to be gone about three weeks. Their twin children, little Brent and Brenda, are visiting with their aunt, Mrs. Thurlo Wiley, at Lynn-dyl, Lynn-dyl, while their parents take the trip. Bishop and Mrs. Peter H. Peterson Peter-son went to Salt Lake City Friday where Mrs. Peterson had medical treatment. They returned Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Styler and family, from Bountiful, spent Easter Eas-ter with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler. E. L. Silberstein and daughter, Dorothy, from Sandy, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Layton Bishop and son, Joe were dinner guests Easter at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop. |
