Dinner was served at the Gem Cafe and cards played later at the Cook home. Club members present were Nona Chesley, Norma Pearson, Merlene Callister, Mary Hunsaker, Mae Holman, Lois Hinckley, Callie Morrison, Liz Pace and Helen Ba-ker. Guests were Loa Black, and Lucile Osguthorpe. Awards at the cards went to Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Black and Mrs. Holman. Club Sei.s Sale The Deseret Garden Club is sponsoring a bake sale April 19, opening at 9:30 a. m. in Quality Market. They will have a large selection of baked foods on sale, including pies, cakes, cookies, breads and .rolls. Funds derived from the sale will be used to plant lawn in the Deser-et Rose Garden and to purchase a fence for the climbing roses. Mr. and Mrs. John Holmquist spent Easter week end with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson. Their son, Lenny, spent his spring vaca-tion here with his grandparents. Lynndyl BY MARY JOHNSON People from far and near took advantage of the lovely Easter day by picnicing at the Fool Creek Sinks. The sand hills were covered with young and old. There were a number ot motor boats giving rides. The water is high and it made a beautiful picture. With Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sheriff and family were Mr .and Mrs. Floyd Beer and family from Amer-ican Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Olen Sher-iff and children from Centerfield, Miss Velda Sheriff from Salt Lake and Mrs. and Mrs. Leslie Roper of Leamington. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Johnson and children of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Brant Wall and boys of Salt Lake were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ti,r Mr. and Mrs. Ray Clark - and family of Orem were lunching with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and daugh-ters. With Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot were Mr. and Mrs. Ivan McKellar and sons of Magna. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nielson had their daughters Colleen and Rob-erta home for the day. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Greathouse had as their guests Mr. and Mrs. George Maxwell and baby of Lot-gre- en and Mrs. Eliza Farnsworth of Salt Lake City. Miss Barbara Hayes who is em-ployed in Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Eatough were home over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Judd and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wellington and daughters, visited the J. A. Banks artd Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Nielson Sunday. Mrs. Louis Thompson was in Ced ar City Saturday for the eightieth birthday of 'her father, Mr. W. Connell. Mr. and Mrs. Darold Turner and family were over night guests of Mrs. Turner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dutson Friday. . Mrs. Lucille Johnson , Jo Ann and George spent the day Satur-day in Provo. Mrs. Ruth Nielson had her moth-er, Mrs. Josephine Sudbury of Salt Lake and two aunts for a few days visit. Mrs. Nola Greathouse went to Salt Lake Monday to see her mo- - end guests of her daughter, Mrs. Liie Johnson. They were Nephi vis-itors Saturday. High Councilman Willis Dutson gave the program in church Sun-day evening. With him was Don Anderson who gave a talk. The Easter program given by the Sunday school was attended by a large crowd. Supt. Reed Niel-son was in charge. The family of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley are very happy over the ar rival of a baby girl at the Delta hospital Saturday. Quornberg of Scipio visited this week with Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Quornberg. Mr and Mrs. Leonard Dutson left Wednesday for a visit with their daughter, Donna, and family in San Francisco. They were join-ed in Salt Lake City by Mr. and Mrs. William Walsh and baby. The tailoring class under the direction of Mrs. Dawn Porter of Sutherland will hold their conclud-ing meeting on Friday. All the members feel well pleased with the class and the instruction they have received. The Bee Hive girls, Lulla Dutson, LaPriel Lovell, Inez Nielson, Shir-ley Grygla and Jaanne Bradfield, held a sunrise service Easter mor-ning on Budge Mountain. The girls were accompanied by their leader, Mrs. Klee Finlinson. They returned after this hike to Klee's home for Easter breakfast. Several Leamington people in-cluding the Eagle Scouts plan to attend the Eagle Court of Honor banquet In Lynndyl Friday even-ing. Stanley Bradfield is one of the new Eagle Scouts.
