The probram in Mutual iast week was a short play put on by the Junior Gleaners and M-Men, under the direction of the Drama Director, Afton Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Taylor are starting the remodeling on their home this week. They are also putting on new roofing. Mr. Gam Moody was up here Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Franklin made another trip to Salt Lake City Saturday, in the snow storm. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Fullmer and family, now of Delta, and former Abraham folks, gave a fine program pro-gram in church Sunday evening. While in Salt Lake City this week, we saw a fine roaster pheas ant strutting around right in the heart of town, paying no attention atten-tion to anyone or anything at all, and I heard the other day that two deer were seen on Delta main streets. I'll bet that burns up the hunters who tramped iall over the hills and fields getting nothing, 'but blisters on their feet. Stewart Taylor attended the Livestock Live-stock show in Ogden Saturday. There were quite a number of Delta valley people there. We are very proud of our 4-H members and the achievement awards they won Wednesday even Ing at the County 4-H award evening even-ing Marilyn Murray, won a two day trp to Salt Lake City yith all expenses, ex-penses, paid. The Folly award, the Garden Medel, Kerr Canning medal and bottles, jelly Contest, complete com-plete Canning outfit, Blue State Achievement Medal. Dorathy Talbot, Poultry Award which awarded her a pressure Sauce pan. Karen Murray, Utah Poultry Award which awarded her an Electric El-ectric Iron. Dixie Lynn Tialbot. a Dairy food Award, Shirril Tolbert, County Tractor Maintainice Award, and Bob Blanche County Tractor Main-taimance Main-taimance Award. from California this week. Several of the ladies from Abraham Abra-ham attended the Sutherland Garden Gar-den Club meeting last Thursday. They reported having a very enjoy able iand informative afternoon. Officials of the Utah State Garden Clubs were down and show ed the members how to use foliage foli-age ect. in decorating our homes for the Hollidays. Mr. and Mrs. Raleigh Franklin were Salt Lake visitors Wednesday Wednes-day and Thursday, and also visited visit-ed in Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dee Bennett and family. While in Salt Lake they watched the man on a window ledge of the 10th story of the Continental Bank Building, threating suicide. Hundreds of people jammed the side walks and held up traffic, ftor more than three hours. Miss Shirly Deem of Salt Lake City was here over the week?end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Deem. Alva Young Jr. left Thiursaty to return to Sacramento Calif., after a visit here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Young and family. "Juke" is stationed at Mather field. Mr. and Mrs. Garland Johnson, and two daughters, visited in Hold en Saturday, with Phyllls's parents Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Robinson. Mrs. May Schena was In Salt Lake City on business Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Peterson celebrtaed their anniversary by making a visit to Price for several days. Mrs. Gam Thompson (Dorathey Tolbot) is in Torrence, California, where she plans to work while her husband is in the service.. Myron Taylor was home with his parents over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reid were Salt Lake City visitors Saturday. |
