Show Deseret MRS. ARPRILLA SCOW Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Webb and children spent Saturday at Provo Mr. Earl Christensen, Sheldon Ohristensen and A. T. Black attended at-tended the cattle sale at Cedar City Wednesday. Anna Lou Dewsnup, from Provo, visited Wednesday with her father, fath-er, J. H. Dewsnup, and her sister, Mavis Hardy. Fellows that are away at work and who spent the week end at home were Melvin Black, Verle Black, Robert Torrence, John Baker, Bak-er, Charles Dewsnup, Weldon Theobald, Theo-bald, Grant Western and Paul Ek-ins. Ek-ins. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Coleman and daughter, Judy from California visited over the week end at Deseret Des-eret with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Eliason spent a few days at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robison are spending this week at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Croft and daughter and Donald Croft left Tuesday for California where they will spend the next ten days visiting visit-ing with Mr. and Mrs. Leone Croft. Mrs. Zada Dewsnup returned home Saturday after having spent the past two weeks visiting at Mesa, Arizona. Home missionaries of Deseret stake gave the program in church Sunday evening. The music for the Youth Choir. Talks were given by Carolyn Callister, Claude Warner and Norman Gardner. 2 vocal solos by Ruby Bishop,. A large crowd enjoyed the meeting very much. Deseret MIA Maids held their "Rose Ceremony" Tuesday evening. even-ing. A very fine program was given. Joyce Davis was MC and also gave a short talk on "Symbolism of the Roses'". Song "Roses, by Ina Rae Damron; prayer by Evelyn Cahoon; song "Love Sends a Gift oi Roses" by Marlena Carting; a talk "What MIA Means To Me", by Eva Alice Robison; piano selection sel-ection by Linda Cropper; talk "The Importance of Roses in the World" by Dawn Jorgerson; song "Moonlight" "Moon-light" and Roses" by Anna Mae Webb; each girls told what her rose meant to her and then they presented the bouquet to President of YWMIA Lucile Sampson. Each girl pinned a rose on her mother. Refreshments were served. The teacher for these girls is Mavis Hardy. The parents of each girl were present, also Bishop and Mrs. O. L. Dutson and stake board member mem-ber Vivian Ekins. |
