They had a very slippery path, as it rained a good portion of the night. T. Geo. Theobald, Prof. J. D. Spiers, Willis E. Robison, John Reeve and some others also returned re-turned from spending a few days sight seeing in Salt Lake. j George Cushman is placing a cement walk around the home of Thos. W. Cropper, who is chang- monced and farmers are busy with their spring work. We have had quite a lot of frost lately. Contractor V. Kelly has quite a number of teams doing ditch work for the Delta Land & Water Company. SheriW P. T. Black , wife and two children, are in Salt Lake Cily Mr. Black expects to attend the meeting of all the state sheriffs j while there. Cropper, Jr. distributed a car load of trees and shrubs 'from the Provo nurseries in the three towns along the mail route from Oasis and has sent in a great many orders to be delivered later. We are pretty sure of having some good shade trees in a few years. LEAMINGTON On Monday night, April 3, a farewell party was given in honor of Elder Louis Stout, who took his departure for the Central States Mission headquarters. Mr. Stout mustered up courage to sell all his earthly belongings leaves a sweet heart, and take up the cross. This requires fortitude not often found in men of this day. Harrison and White, painters of Provo, have been painting for August Aug-ust Nielson and Bishop Ashby. Bishop was a conference visitor last week. The Relief Society of this ward was reorganized last Thursday, with Mrs. Jennie Rigby as president, presi-dent, Mrs. Ida Patton as 'first, and Martha Ashby as second counselors Lemira Bishop, secretary, and Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Callister as treasurer. The retiring officers were Mrs. Ann Bishop, president Ruth Max-field Max-field and Almeda Lewis, as counselors; coun-selors; Mrs. Rigby, secretary; Mrs. ' J. H. Peterson, treasurefc-The new officers will give a party in the hall next Saturday night in honor of the retiring officers. Everybody in the ward over 18 years of age is invited.
