Show Irrigation Cos. List Ample Water For 1951 Crops There is an adequate supply of water for 1951, water company officials of-ficials stated today. Farmers need not curtail planting of crops this year as there will be ample water for irrigation. In fact, farmers are encouraged to use all of the water, so that Sevier Bridge can be drained as near as possible before necessary repair work this fall. There is more water this year than last with an expected delivery in 1951 of 138,500 acre feet, as com pared to 136,000 acre feet used in 1950. Abraham Irrigation Co. has an expected delivery, 1951, of 19,000 acre feet, and used 20,000 in 1950. Deseret Irigation Co. has an expected expec-ted 1951 delivery of 37,500 acre feet, and used 38,000 in 1950 Delta Canal Co. has an expected 1951 delivery de-livery of 52,500 acre feet, and used 52,000 in 1950. Melville Irrigation Co. has an expected 1951 delivery of 29,000 acre feet, and used 26,-000 26,-000 in 1950. If need arises during 1951 a policy pol-icy will be worked out whereby water may be transfered from one company to another, company of- ficials stated. Delivery of water per acre foot pershare for this year will be Delta Canal Co., 0.9 or 1.00 feet per share; Melville Irigation Co., 1.60 or 1.70 ft. per share; Deseret Irrigation Irri-gation Co., 0.5 feet her share; Abraham Ab-raham Irrigation Co., 0.7 per share. |
