Show Lynndyl BY MARY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. DeVelo Whatcott and family of Logan came down Sunday for a week's visit with the Irvin Whatcotts. On Thursday both Whatcott families left for a two-day two-day stay at Grand Canyon.Return-ing Canyon.Return-ing they visited Mr. and Mrs. Carl Whatcott at Kanosh, who are caring car-ing for the Newell Howlett place while they are on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley and 'family were Provo visitors Thursday. Thurs-day. Mrs. Robert Nielson left Thursday Thurs-day for Terreton, Idaho, where she will visit her parents and attend the wedding of a sister. She went as far as Idaho Falls with Mr. and Mrs, Dick Nielson of Leamington. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Turner and girls spent the 24th in Provo with their daughter, Myrna and family. Lucille Johnson has had her mother, Mrs. Casen, of Cedar City and a niece, Miss DeLoris Bensen of Los Angeles visiting her the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Kirt Roper and Marybeth of Provo came down Friday for several days visit with their daughters, Glenna and Dawn. Saturday they visited in Oak City and will go to Las Vegas to visit itheir son, Dern, and family before returning to Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen returned Sunday from a week's visit in St. Anthony, Idaho. They have purchased the Vernon Roper home and are busy moving in. The Ropers are now residing in their new home in Delta. , The ball team journeyed to Mona on Saturday afternoon where they were victorious. Miss Annette Smith is home after aft-er a week in Salt Lake with her sister, Mrs. Joe Easterbrook. Mrs. Lorraine Stephenson was here over the weeeknd with her sister, Mrs. Nola Greathouse, and getting acquainted with the new baby. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson were in Nephi on business Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Larsen of Provo Pro-vo were down Sunday 'for a visit with the Jerry Nielson family. Miss Susie Nielson went back to Provo , with them and came home Monday Mon-day evening. Mrs. Lucille Nielson had her mother, Mrs. Vilate Ivie, of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Cockren of Kansas Kan-sas for a two-day stay the past week. Mrs. Cockren and Mrs. Nielson Niel-son are sisters. Sunday evening Elders Bryce Finlinson and Keith Dexter, recent returned missionaries from Uruguay, Uru-guay, South America talked. Their experiences were very interesting. They sang a hymn in Spanish. Miss Edith Anderson played the Uruguayan national anthem. |
