Show Hold Charter Night Yednesday Wednesday evening May 2, the Hinckley Lions Club held their char ter night. There were about 160 people to the event which consisted consist-ed of a banquet and dance. The larger majority of the crowd were from out of .town coming as far as from St: George. The Hinckley club is sponsored by the Delta Lions club. The numbers- of the program were as follows: "America" by the entire group led by Cluf Talbot, Flag Salute and Pledge of Allegiance directed by Eoe S. Buhanan. The Invocation was offered by Walter L. Ekins. Randall Swenson gave the Welcoming Wel-coming address. Scipio Lions club furnished a musical number,- then Pres. Harold Har-old R. Morris introduced the charter char-ter members, guest clubs and spec ial guests. The Delta Lions Club gave a musical number and then gave a sponsoring club address. After the Lions club of Fillmore gave a duet. C. A. White, International Internat-ional Counselor, gave an address. Hinckley Lions club furnished a quartet after which District Lions Governor Bert Milne, presented the Charter to Pres. Harold R. Morris. Before the group started dancing Cluff Talbot led the group in singing sing-ing "America the Beautiful." |
