This past Saturday was a day that was anxiously waited by the fishermen of this community. And so now we can expect a rich supply sup-ply of fish stories. One that has a bit of humor in it goes like this: David Nichols and his boys, Voy Ralph and Buck, dragged themselves them-selves from their beds about 4 a. m. and took off for Oak Creek arriving in time to throw their hooks on the dot. Ralph, who had never caught a fish before, was the first to get a bite. He got the fish about out of the water and it got away. So Ralph jumped in after It and with unwavering faith in his ability, captured the fish and succeeded in getting it in the bag. In spite of his ducking he caught seven all told and Dave, Buck and Voy had to admit that he was the best angler. |
