OCR Text	Show Prevent Ladder Slipping When a person standing near the top of a ladder reaches out to either side, the ladder tends to slip. This safety precaution is suggested by American Builder magazine: Drive finishing nails in the ladder lad-der as shown in. the sketch. Cut' off the nails Va inch from the face of the wood and file the ends to sharp points. When the ladder is placed against a wall, the nails will dig in enough to keep the ladder from slipping but not enough to mar the wall surface . objectionably.
