Show fine pictures. T-Sgt. Robert Peterson ,o the B-29 crew, had a pleasant job Sunday. Sr.t. Peterson sat by the ladder used by people to leave the ship, and as t lie ladies went down it. was his job to put an arm around each waist and keep them from falling. The other crew members were wondering just how j Sgt. Peterson managed to get him ' self stationed where he had to j give at least a thousand Jadies ' something resembling a bear hug that day. As if not to be outdone by mere : men, Jupiter Pluvius staged a I show of fireworks Sunday night. Lightning sireaked through the , sky like the Mustang fighters, and I thimder sounded like the engines I of the swift ships of the riders in me sky. GUSTS AND SQUALLS . . . Lake must have been very hungry when she set down at Delta Sunday Sun-day morning. She rushed right in and joined the other pilots at the breakfast without bothering to close her flight plan. Communicator Communicat-or Wayne Houser noted that the plan hadn't been closed an hour after pilot .Allen was due in Delta and he was about to send the nat ional guard out to get her when he discovered her eating ham and eggs. Miss Allen said she was so used to not doing things like that that it just didn't occur to her to close her fligh plan and anyway she bucked head wind and got here forty minutes late. We might say something comparing women pilots pil-ots with women drivers but Pilot Allen was one of our guests so we won't,. "Learn to fly from the insects" writes Wm. B.
