Show UI Scholarship Goes To 1-S1 Miss Edna Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Smith, Fillmore, has been awarded the Carl Raymond Gray $100 scholarship. This scholarship schol-arship is given annually by the UP railroad, to the 4H boy or girl who has done the most outstanding work in their 4H projects. Edna has completed 5 years of club work. She has won medals for her achievement in clothing, and better methods electric and in 1948 was chosen to participate in the 4H style revue at the Utah State Fair. Her clothing work has also been shown at the Pacific International Inter-national Exhibition at Portland, Oregon. This year, 1949, she will continue her 4H clothing projects and will also have a 4H poultry project. Enda will use the scholarship to attend the Agricultural college, when she has completed her high school education. Marilyn Badger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Badger, Holden, has also won recognition in her 4H projects in beef, and clothing, and has been named at the alternate alter-nate for the scholarship. |
