Show Oak City MAE H. SHIPLEY Sunday evening at Sacrament meeting the time was used by the LDS girls program, and the awarding award-ing of the individual certificates for the past years work. Twenty-six Twenty-six LDS girls received their certificates certif-icates presented by chairman, Mae H. Shipley. The program consisted of choruses, music and talks by the girls.. The singing was done by the girls and the boys of the Aaronic Preisthood, led by La Mae Finlinson. The Bishopric awarded certificates to the boys of the Aaronic Preisthood class , after Jun ior Anderson was released as 2nd Counselor to the Bishop and Ivan Shipley sustained his place by stake high counselor George H. Anderson and Willis Dutson: Mae H. Shipley was released as chairman for the LDS girls, and Martha Anderson sustained. Mrs. Daryl Talbot and little son ; visited in Holden with her parents '; a few days the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Lyman and i Mrs. Lydia Finlinson rturned from trip in Cal. They report having a lovely time visiting with Rich Lyman Ly-man and family. They also visited with Elder Reece Finlinson who is on a mission there. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Anderson 1 went to St. George to attend the i ; graduation of their daughter, Bar-i Bar-i bara. Barbara is going to Bryce's 1 canyon where she will be employ ed this summer. Mrs. Clarence Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nielson attended the graduation of Dorothy Nielson ', at Dixie last week. Dorothy r-j r-j ; turned home for the summer. I ' Mr. Lorenzo Lovell, Mr. and Mrs. r ! Wilmer Anderson and Mrs. Bessie , ' Sherrif attended the graduation ex l! ' ercises at BYU for Miss Janice p Olsen. :! : Miss Margaret Sherrif and Miss Afton Roper are visiting at Richfield. Rich-field. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lovell went to Logan to bring their daughter, Merlene home after her year .teach ing in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Anderson have purchased a farm in Oasis and will move there this week. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Finlinson and family will move to Payson where they have baught a dairy farm. Mr. Thomas Pratt wil move into the Finlinson home. Following visitors were in Oak' City for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Burnis Finlinson and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Finlinson Finlin-son entertained Sunday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Finlinson Finlin-son and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Ander son, who are moving from Oak City. There were 20 guests present A delicious lunch was served. |
