Show Oasis Mrs La Veda Bishop Mrs. Jensene Anderson received word that her sister, Mrs. Nicoline P. Anderson of Salt Lake passed away last Thursday, May 26. This was not unexpected as she had been ill for a long (time. Mrs. Anderson and daughter , Verda, and son, Parley, visited with her sister in Salt Lake a week before. The funeral was held Tuesday and the relatives from Oasis atteneded. Mr. and Mrs. Therori Anderson and baby and the former Beulah Anderson and her husband visited with their grandmother, Jensene Anderson over the week end and Memorial Day. Some other visitors from out of town were: Mrs. Nora Caproni, Mr. and Mrs. Von Petty and family, from Salt Lake visited with Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Gillen and Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler from Saturday till Monday. Mrs. Abbie Hansen and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Wallie Nelson and two boys from Salt Lake visited visit-ed Monday at the cemetery and with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cahoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ward and daughter, from Salt Lake, spent Monday in Oasis. Mrs. Alice Dalton from Parowan visited with her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Howell over the holiday. hol-iday. Dave Nichols had his family all home for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brush from Los Alton, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. LeMoine Bond and family from Salt Lake, Miss Pearl and Miss Gloria from Salt Lake. Helen Skeem spent the week end with" her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Skeem. Monday morning, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hawley took their sister, Lorrane Petty to the Valley hospital hos-pital in Provo. Mrs. Petty has been with her mother for the past week or two but has been in poor health. hea-lth. Mrs. Leona Simmons and children child-ren from Pocatello spent Sunday at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Peter H. Peterson. Mrs. Telia Strang and children and Mr. William Moody from Salt Lake visited with Mrs. Regima Hawley and family over the week end returning home Monday. Art Strang was unable to be with his family on this visit, due to the death of his mother in Michigan. He went by plane to be to her funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Kollo Hawley and son La Thor from Las Vegas, are guests at the Kelly Hawley home. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Peterson from Ogden arrived Sunday to visit their father, , Peter A. Peterson and other members of the family. He was the guest speaker at Sacra ment meeting Sunday. Monday afternoon, they left for a vacation trip to Wayne Wonderland Wonder-land and hoped to get as far as Carlsbad Cave in N. M. before returning re-turning home. Mr. and Mrs. Armond Hawley from Provo visited their mother and others of ,the family, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeems entertained en-tertained at a double birthday party for their sons, Jerold and Fred. Guests were members of the family and friends. Monday evening the children of M.M. Bishop met at the Clark Bish op home and enjoyed a family get together, all the living children except Irene Skeem were there with their wives and husbands. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Bishou and Mr. and Mrs. Heber Bishop and Mrs. Lula Cropper of Hinckley, Mr. and Mrs. E F. Bishop and Mr. and Ed. Silber stein of Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. J. Avery Bishop and Mrs. J. Layton Bishop of Delta. Bryant Moody was a special guest and discussed problems in regard to the program for the family reunion that will be held at Glacier Park this coming July. The Primary held a party Tuesday Tues-day bringing to a close their winter and spring work and beginning begin-ning the summer's program. ' 1 |
