Show j OAK CITY I Sunday evening services in Oak City chapel had the following speakers. Dr. M. E. Bird, Lionel Taylor and Van Bishop, from Delta. The choir, under the direction of E. L. Dutson, sang two anthems. Visitors from Richfield this week jwere Mr. and Mrs. Lem Lovell, Mr. 'and Mrs. Sterling Holt, Miss Kath-i Kath-i leen Lovell and Mr. Wilmer And-jerson. And-jerson. I Mrs. Wilbert Anderson and children, child-ren, visited the past week in Salt Lake with his parents. Mr. Anderson Ander-son left Monday to visit and bring his family home. Miss Janice Olson, of Provo, is an Oak City visitor. Mrs. Edgar Nielson and son, Ted, also Mr. Verl Jacobson, spent several sev-eral days in Salt Lake City the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Lenox Finlinson, of Provo, visited in Oak City Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Hone, from Benjamin, Benja-min, were Oak City visitors. Their daughter, Mrs. Basil Talbot, returned return-ed to Benjamin with them for a visit. Mrs Lydia Finlinson and Elder Richard Finlinson, spent several days in Spanish Fork and Salt Lake before Elder Finlinson enters the mission home, Monday, June 21. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Anderson and Mrs. Eliza Anderson are visiting in Salt Lake and Granger. Mrs. Caddie Anderson is a Salina visitor this week. Friday evening a wedding dance was enjoyed for Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Nielson. Out-of-town visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Byran Nielson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Byron Niel-son's Niel-son's mother, from Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Don Walker, Salt Lake City, and the bride's sister and her husband hus-band from Idaho. The missionary testimonial for Elder Daryl Talbot, was held Saturday Sat-urday evening. June 19. Friends and relatives from Oak City and surrounding places raised a large .amount to assist in the mission field Elder Talbot and his wife left Sunday for Salt Lake, where he will enter the mission home Monday, Mon-day, and she will visit in Salt Lake City. Elder Talbot's labors will be in the Northern California mission. At Sunday evening services the retiring officers of the L. D. S. girls were released. Mrs. Irene Talbot, Mrs. Alice Anderson, Mrs. Rebecca Pratt and Mrs. Theo Stuart. The new officers sustained were Mae H. Shipley, chairman, Myrtle Lovell, Mrs. Martha Anderson, assistants, and Mrs. Helen Anderson, secretary. |
