Show Hinckley Mustangs Do the Impossible i Hinckley, who had won but one league game this season, came through with a neat win over Delta, who had lost but one this during the season prior to their meeting with Hinckley, by a score of 35 to 26. The Mustangs outplayed, out-played, out-fought and out-smarted their old rivals all during the game and shortly after the beginning of the encounter there was little doubt as to who would be the win-" ner. JThe Mustangs galloped off With a burst of speed and ended up the first quarter 10 to 4. Still riding their Mustang in a fancy fashion they continued .on during the second se-cond canter to end up 20 to 11. During Dur-ing the half time the Delta fans sat there in amazement as the scoreboard read the figures showing show-ing Hinckley to be ahead for the first time in seven years. Hinckley came back in the second se-cond half just as strong as when they ended the first half and ran the score up to 26 to 16 for them during the third quarter. The final period saw Hinckley play fast, sharp ball, gaining another nine points while Delta gained ten, to end the game 35 to 26. Peterson of Hinckley was the high point man of the game with 9. Cropper of Hinckley made 8, with Bishop, Hinckley, and Finlin-son Finlin-son and Sheriff of Delta, making 7 points each. Hinckley made 5 out of 22 foul tries, and Delta made 8 out of 15 attempts. Delta goes to Fillmore to meet the Millard Eagles Thursday night. |
