Show j Regional Meet Of Gardeners Set for Sept. 4 . I A millard County Regional convention, con-vention, sponsored by the Delta Garden club, will be held Saturday, Satur-day, September 4, with afternoon and evening sessions in the Delta high school auditorium. Officers ' from the Utah Associated Garden Clubs will attend and talk on topics of interest to all gardeners. The meetings are open to the general public, who are urged to be present. At the afternoon ses-1 sion, 2 pm., speakers will be Emil Feulner on Chlorosis; Keith Boyer, I pest control, fertilizers, soils, illus- j trated with colored slides; C. R. Walter, roses and rose culture; Dorothea Newbold, junk or club, peony culture and varieties. Field trips will be made after the afternoon meeting. The evening eve-ning meeting will be from 8 to 10, and speakers will be Milda Patten, Pat-ten, iris culture and propagation, and Fred Augsburger, artistic flower arrangements. The Delta club will meet Tuesday Tues-day night, August 31, at the home of Mary Bassett. Members are urged ur-ged to be present, for at that time final arrangements will be made for the regional convention that the club is sopnsoring. |
