Show j ON THROUGH COLLEGE ' J In conversation with a teacher a few fays ago we were astonished to learn that vast per cent of parents do not encour- ge their boys and girls to prepare for a igher education than they can get in the ubKc grade schools. The teacher spoke f it regretfully because he yealizes, as lost parents will, -if they consider the .iatter seriously for a few moments, that yfhjpad(l knowledge ,a better education, 'idKgijreeded now, and will be needed now. "pu will be needed in the .years to come ' lan was necessary twenty, thirty or for-. f .years ago. .).;, .rr .-. m" The Logan boy of today is going to find tiff er competition when he starts out in-d in-d the world than his father found. He is oing to realize in more ways than his ather. realized that one cannot be over-urdened over-urdened with knowledge. Of course, he 'ill get along. He could do that without n education. But if he prospers, if he olds his own in the great mass of young ion who will make up our future busi-ess busi-ess world, lie is going to see on every "and the need of a complete education, hd one that requires study on past the rade and high school courses- I In view of this wouldn't it be a good Bea to pave the way a little more smoother smooth-er for our boys and girls now? Wouldn't i be a good idea to give a little more attention at-tention tot this subject before it is too &te? If you are holiest with your boy you will want him to have an even better opportunity op-portunity for education than you had. So i hy not set about seeing that he gets it as ;on as'he leaves the common school c nirses. r |
