Show CACHE COUNTY FARM BUREAU MEETING f When President E. Bergcsou of the Cache, ounty Farm Bureau asked for a rising vote as to those farmers who will stand behind the bureau In the matter of the 1920 beet contract, at the meeting held Friday afternoon in the tabernacle, every one of the three hundred piescnt rose to their feet. The vote came after spirited addresses address-es by speakers from Box Elder and Cache counties. Tho meeting was called for the purpose 6f"hearlng how the 1920 contract was developed, how the present situation as regards the sugar companies has developed, and to ascertain tho sentiment of tho farmers far-mers on the matter. It was to have been held In the court house but that room was too small and the meeting, was transferred to the "tabernacle. Tho principal speaker .was John F. Burton of Box Elder who related the correspondence that had passed between be-tween tho sugar companies and the manner In which tho Farm Bureau sugar beet committee had endeavored to arrange meetings. He also stated stat-ed that tho Farm Bureau had endeavored en-deavored to be ns fair and squat 3 In Its dealings with the companies, 'as it vould desire to be treated In return. The final result of tho negotiations, ne-gotiations, ho stated, was that tho buerau determined to Insist upon a proper ratio basis for a contract, and that It stands ready to negotiate such a contract with the sugar companies. His remarks were frequently applauded ap-plauded by the audience. A. I. Grover of Tremontou also spoke at some length on the same subject of negotiating a contract and the failure to get the sugar companies com-panies to do else than submit their contract with tlio promise to appoint a committee to artlve at n proper basis for' applying the ratio plan for next year. This plan was not satisfactory satis-factory to tho buioau as not applying for 1920 beets. President Bergoson also added a report ot conversation which he had with ofllclals ot tho Amalgamated Sugar company. At a meeting ot the dairy, committee' commit-tee' and dairymen of tho County Farm Bureau held last Friday In the court house, the recent division of milk territory ade by tho condensed milk companies was discussed by members and representatives of tho factories. John T, Calna III stated that tho res son for the changes was one of better bet-ter economy and eliminating of waste In hauling.
