Show STERLING SHOWS UP GOMPERS "When Mr. Gompers or anyone else 'says that he is opposed to a law which would prevent the' advocacy of the over throw of a government by force or violence," viol-ence," declares' Senator Sterling of South Dakota. "Mr. Gompers or whosoever it may be, it seems to me, puts himself, in a position where his loyalty to the government govern-ment might be questioned," The Senator's Sena-tor's remarks were occasioned by the criticism's crit-icism's recently aimed at the sedition bill by Mr. Gompers, "has other business on hand that might engage his attention," rather than attempting to obstruct the passage of such a law. |
