Show FUNERAL OF . MISS OBRAY AT PARADISE Funeral services ovor the remains of Miss Ahnlo Obray wore held In the meeting house Thursday at 1 o'clock. Bishop P. O. Hansen presided. pre-sided. Tho choir furnished appropriate appro-priate music. Oponlng prayer by Jos. Morris. Tho following spoke words of comfort and encouragement to all present: N. J. Willis, G. E. Olson, Elder Lorentzen, Jos. Hoborts and Bishop Hansen. Lizzie Lemon sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Annie was tho daughter of Samuel and Ann Obray. She was seventeen years of age, a good, kind and loving lov-ing young woman, and will bo missed mis-sed by a largo lrclo of friends. She leaves two brothers and threo sister) besides her father to mourn her early departure; her mother preceding preced-ing her to tho great beyond foui years ago. Again sorrow was cast over our communtly when this morning tho word waB heard that Llddlo Shaw had Just died, sho was a sweet affectionate af-fectionate young girl and much sympathy sym-pathy Is felt for her parents, Mr. nnd Mrs. W. Hi Shaw. Tho funeral was held Monday at one o'clock. Wo havo had a heavy snow fall this winter, at Christmas time thero was threo feet of Bnow on the level, as It is impossible for anyone to get into the canyons for firo wood, many are in great need of fuel as tho coal famlno hau reached us hero. Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw Is very HI at this writing and great hopes nro felt for her speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Androw S. Williams Wil-liams spent thp week hero visiting friends and relatives. There aro a few cases of moaslcs here, we aro hoping that tho citizens citi-zens will tako this matter In hand and try to stop tho spread of this disease. Mr.. .Hyrum Miles has been elected Town Marshal. Tho Misses lreta and Gretta Rawlins Raw-lins of Preston spent Now Years Day with Miss Amy Shlploy. Mr. Jos Miles and wife and Mr. Jos. Tellofeson of Canada are hero visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. David McMurdlo aro visiting In Paradiso for a fow days. Conjoint Session of tho Mutuals was hold Sunday Jan. 7. Mr. Wm. T. James gave a lecture on the Gospel, Gos-pel, and a violin nnd Piano Duet was rendered by Itoy Halverson and Melvln Lemons. |
