Tho church board of education edu-cation mado a special appropriation for the cleaning and renovating of this, tho best school auditorium and ono of the best stages In Utah. The' walls and ceilings have been recoated with light attractlvo calclmlno and a pretty border design added. All of tho woodwork celling panneling, doors, windows, stage front, waln-Hcotlng, waln-Hcotlng, etc. has been thoroughly varnished and Ingrained. Tho twolvo big heaters havo been given a now coat of lead. Tho balcony, too, has been varnished and Ingrained and tho supports and railings given a coat of gold lead. Probably tho crowning crown-ing fcaturo of all Is tho now lighting apparatus Installed. Suspended from tho colling panncls by chain hangers aro eight big lights, each fitted for 4-100 W "C" lamps. Tho shades aro Roman gold. In addition to this, on tho gallery front and on tho sides of tho hall aro ton medium Inverted lights nnd twolvo drop shades under tho balcony. Tho ornamental arch of tho stage has been renovated even prottler that It originally was. It Is dono In shades of gold, brown, and Romnn gold In harmony with the walls, border designs, woodwork varnish, nnd particularly tho lights. At tho top of tho arch aro tho letters B. Y. sot In a background of crimson. |
