Mr. and Mrs. George Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Allred, and Mr. and Mrs. Wlllard Hendricks motored to Ogden to attend the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. E. lit StockB and family of Newdale, Idaho, spent several sev-eral days visiting at Lewlston.- Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Williamson of Ogden were guests of Mrs. Maud Stocks last week. Mr. George Thompson of Garland, a representative of the Beneficial Life Insurance company, was In Lewlston . on, business Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services over the remains of Mr. Karl Wheeler, who was electrocuted elec-trocuted by a high' tension wire, were held In the Second ward on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Blair and family of Garland are visiting In Lewljton. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Nalsbttt of Logan spent the Fourth of July at Lewlston, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clement Rawlins. Messrs. Wlllard Hendricks, S. It. Rogers, Dr. Lorln Lewis and George Pope motored to Salt Lake Saturday to attend the ball game. Mrs. Edna Qustavebon entertained the Ladles' Art and Literary club Friday afternoon. Scotts, "Lady of tho Lake" was given by Miss Sadie Bernhlsel. Thirteen club members were present. Miss Eva Lewis was the Invited guest. Refreshments were served. Mr. George Vlllett made a trip to Salt Lake Saturday, returning with a new seven-passenger Studcbaker car. Mr. and Mrs. David Lclshman, Miss Maud Lelshman, and Master Hoy Lelshman of Wellsville, and Mr. Vid Mrs. Ed. Peterson of Hyrum Motored to Lewlston Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stocks. Tho Fourth of July game of ball at Lewlston, Lewlston vs. Stall & Dean of Salt Lake, was a hummer. Tho Lewlston team defeated the vis iting team, score 5 to 6. Lewlston Is Justly proud of her team. Mrs. Anna Egbert Boyle presented her pupils In a musical recital Sunday Sun-day evening. An excellent program of eighteen numbers was rendered. Mrs. 'Boyle Is to be congratulated. The musical was a decided success. Mr. J. H. Stocks has purchased an Oakland touring car. Sheriff Baker was Immensely Interested In-terested In tho ball game at Lewis-ton Lewis-ton on July 4. Miss Nell Telford entertained at a lawn party Wednesday evening. About thirty guests were present. Mr. and Mrs. Deals furnished tho music for tho evening. Delicious, refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mr. Thomas Bowden, the local garage man, has purchased a seven-passenger seven-passenger Paige car. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Blair of Wllford, Idaho, motored to Lewis-ton Lewis-ton to spend the nation's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Nielson of Salt Lake spent several days visiting with Dr. and Mrs. W. B. Parkinson. Mr. Alma Smith has purchased a Ford touring car. Mrs. Ernest Thornton land children child-ren of Itexburg, Idaho, art- visiting in Lewlston with Mrs. Emma Telford. Tel-ford. The Scandinavians of Lewlston and vicinity held a special Sunday ser-vico ser-vico at tho Lewlston First ward. After the services, several hours wero spent at the grove, where Mr. Wm. Anderson entertained them. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie 'Peterson of Trenton spent the Fourth at Lewis-ton. Lewis-ton. Mr. Henderson of Arlmo was In Lewlston on business last Friday. Mr. Clarence 'Stocks and family are spending several weeks at tho Lava hot springs. Mr. Stocks Is afflicted af-flicted with rheumatism. Mrs. Maud Velour of Ogden Is visiting vis-iting with relatives. Mr. Van Choato left Thursday morning for Salt Lake. Mr. Choate enlisted In the medical corps. Lewlston Lew-lston Is well up In furnishing her share for the army and navy. Mr. Gee, U. S. recruiting officer, Is spending several days In Lewis-ton Lewis-ton on business. |
