Show CELEBRATION AT RICHMOND ATTRACTED THRONG OF PEOPLE Baseball Game the chief Attraction. Lewiston Wins Again from Stahl and Dean. Governor at morning Session. Richmond's Pioneer day celebration celebra-tion was a great success from every point. The crowd waa thoro and ample entertainment was provided. Governor Bamberger was in attendance attend-ance at the morning meeting and talked to tho multitudes. Hon. E. R. Owen of Logan gave the oration, and It was a real gem of a talk, tho kind that Mr. Owen gives when ho warms up to his subject. Perhaps tho biggest slnglo drawing draw-ing card was tho ball game. Tho Lewiston Champions played tho fast Stall & Dean team of Salt Lake, and our homo boys again showed their superiority over tho professionals from tho big town to tho south, and won by tho score of 4 to 3. It was anybody's gamo. Both teams played well. There was Interest throughout. through-out. Tho beet farmers bogan tho scoring in tho first Inning, securing one run. There was no more scoring scor-ing until the sixth inning, when the farmers got another Irun. In tho seventh Inning tho visitors from Salt Lake got three runs and then It was that tho real Interest In the game began. be-gan. Squires, who was catching, used good Judgment at this point by substituting sub-stituting Llnd, who was pitching, I with Conkwrlghl. This stopped tho scoring. In tho eighth tnnlng Squire went to bat for a safe single. Conk-wright's Conk-wright's three-baso hit scored Squires. The Salt Lakers wero retired re-tired In the eighth, and Llnd camo to bat and walked to first base on balls. Joo Nelson, who can usually bo counted count-ed on for something out of tho ordinary, or-dinary, landed tho ball for a throe bagger and scored Llnd. Lewiston was then one point ahead. In tho last half of the ninth tho proverbial baloon nearly went up, but Squires and Conkwrlght got down to real ball playing with good support sup-port behind them and mowed down the base runners before tho scoring time came.
