Show BOY 18 ACCIDENTALLY SHOT WHILE ON FI8HING TRIP Provo, Sept. 3 John Wesley Hoov-ef, Hoov-ef, tho 11 year old son of Webster Hoover, was InBtantly killed this afternoon af-ternoon when ho accidentally shot, himself with a .22 caliber rlflo. In company with his brother Clifton ho went up Provo canyon on a fishing excursion. The boys started to fish in the Provo river about one half a ml'e from Vivian park. Tho younger young-er boy carried tho rlflo nnd while arranging ar-ranging his fishing tackle thought to load tho rifle to shoot sage hens. Clifton Hoover was in tho stream fishing and John Wesley was on the bank with tho rifle between his knees. He evidently was attempting to push the repeating cylinder back. into position when he discharged the gun. The bullet Btruck him under the chin nnd entered the brain, caus; ing almost instant death. Walter Adams o( Provo who was passing In an automobile, placed the, boy in his machine and rushed him to the Provo general hospital.
