Show STILL EXPECTS TO . SETTLE THE STRIKE Washington, Sept. 28. President Wilson will contlnuo to press for ac ceptnnce of the tentative basis for settlement of the Colorado coal strike proposed by federal mediators, despite de-spite the partially unfavorable reply of the operators received. President Wilson told callers (oday ho does not consider tho question closed nnd that ho will work for further fur-ther negotiations. The president said he did not consider con-sider the reply of the operators as closing further discussion nnd thnt ho expected a favorablo settlement. He considered separately the attitude of the Colorado Fuel & Iron compnny and thoso of tho other companies concerned in tho striko. |
