Six persons attended at-tended tho mass meeting ot tho Pro-gresslvo Pro-gresslvo branch of the Reams-Democratic party that was called for tonight to-night in the Provo courthouse. The sextet elected thirty-two delegates, four of whom were members of the olx. At lchsl CO per 'cent of tho others oth-ers wero persons who aro classed as being entirely out of sympathy with fusion. Tonight's meeting was held with perfect harmony among all present R. H. Bower, chairman, presided. Carl Saxy was secretary and the seats wero filled by O. J. Carpenter, F. A. Hulsh, N. O. Larsen and Joel A. Johnson. The thirty-two delegates dele-gates wero elected without a dissenting dissent-ing voto. If all of them can be induced in-duced to serve as delegates tomorrow tomor-row afternoon a great victory will have been won, according to members present tonight. The Wilson club also held a routine rou-tine meeting In the opera house tonight to-night preparatory to the Kearnsdem-ocratlc Kearnsdem-ocratlc county convention. The opera house has been donated to tho Democrats Demo-crats for use during tho coming campaign cam-paign and It will be their official headquarters from now on. A heated debate Is expected to develop In tho convention tomorrow, as many of tho Wilson men are known to bo out ot sympathy with the course followed by the party In Utah and It Is whispered that the slate outlined does not meet with the approval ot many whose names have bcon left oft ot it. |
