Show Roosevelt to Ask Change of Venue Oyster Bay, New York, Aug in Theodore Roosevelt announced to-night to-night that his attorneys In the $50,000 libel suit brought against him by vi. Ham Barnes, Jr., Republican iute chairman, will ask to have the acuoq $ brought to trial in some county other J than Albany county where Mr. Barnes I resides, and where tho venue of tho I aotlon win laid by the plaintiff. Col- I onel Roosevelt said that his attor- I neys did not believe an impartial trial I could be held In Albany county, and that If Mr. Barnes' s attorneys would not consent to a change ot venue, the court would be asked to grant it Tho colonel reiterated thai ne ue-slred ue-slred the case to be heal at as early h date as possible and said that he had instructed his attorneys not to file a jdemurrer. He added that an extension of twenty day In which to prepare an answer was obtained today to-day In the supreme court It is probable pro-bable that the case will come to trial In October. Mr. Barnes' action was begun after af-ter Colonel Roosevelt, a few weeks ago, Issued a statement In which alluding al-luding to political conditions In the state, he attacked Mr. Barnes and the so-called bipartisan boss rule, mentioning Chhrles F.
