It Is believed that if more attention at-tention wero given to making farming farm-ing communities more sanitary and generally attractive so that our youni; peoplo would bo more likely to ro-mnln ro-mnln voluntarily on the farm instead of seeking cmploymeht In cities. Tho agricultural club movement Is expected expect-ed to exclto a greater Interest In farming and agricultural activities. Mr. Haddock recently accompanied Farm Demonstrator Robert Stewart on a trip through Carbon and Emory counties. Together these two A. C. workers effected local fanners organizations organ-izations In every communjty In which they held it meeting. Mr. Haddock says the farmers of those parts are enthusiastic over tho movement and that they are very persistent and Industrious agriculturists. Much Interest Is being manifested In animal husbandry of late, lhrgely duo to tho efforts of Mr. Stewart. Home economics associations have boen organized throughout theso counties coun-ties nnd enthusiasm Is at a whlto heat for them among housewives, its a result of Miss McCheyne's activities thcro. |
