Show Final Games of Church School Series Tonight Basketball Tournament to Be Concluded Between Preston Versus L. D. S. and Murdock Versus Fielding Tonight will bo the final of the basketball tournament at tne B. Y. C. Tho four teams havo been playing along a a very good gait. The big feature of tonight's games wil) be the L. D. S. and Preston "teams. The way the tournament ls being run the championship will not be determined until the very last minute. The surprise sur-prise of tho meet so far is the strength of the Murdock team. This team whs picked at an caBy one, but It has made the Preston and the L D. S. teams go very fast to win from them. The crowd tonight will bo a large ono as tho Preston team will bo backed back-ed by several hundred students and townspeople. As far as 'real basket ball Is concerned tonight's games will bo nn excellent exhibition. Both teams are fast and havo been playing play-ing the best games of any teams in tho state. , Tho dope sheet favors the L. D. S. They will get the ball from tho center cen-ter and that means a good deal to the swirt team llko tho L. D. S. Tho O. S. A team howover will be backed by hundreds of people from Preston and there Is a mere possibility of them running. .A feature of this evening will be aa exhibition by tho students of the .Oneida Stake Academy between the games. When It comos to cheering and singing tho Preston people havo very fow equals. Tho games will commonco prompt-ly'at prompt-ly'at 7:30 o'clock. This will bo done so that tho students and rooters can attend the danco In tho auditorium which is given by tho B. Y. C. In honor of their basketball viators. Yesterday tho chapel period at the B. Y. Collego was devoted to a spo-clal spo-clal program In honor of tho visiting players and coaches speeches were moado by the various coaches and Dr. C. N. Jensen of tho B. Y. C. Today at 12:30 the Domestic Science Sci-ence girls nt tho collego will glvo a luncheon in honor of the players and coaches. |
