Show LOOK OUT FOR GERMANY It is reported that the German government govern-ment is preparing to establish a minimum working day of ten hours, with no maximum. max-imum. If the report ' is true and it sounds typically German that .country may recover from the devasting effects of the war more rapidly than any of thp alKed nations. Almost everywhere else in the world labor is striving to shorten the working day. In England labor wants, and is getting, a six hour day. In France the tendency is in the same direction as it is in this country. It is not hard to imagine what wouid happen if the German worker should devote de-vote a quarter or a third more time to production than the workers of other industrial in-dustrial countries. Great industrial expansion ex-pansion would surely follow, and with the world short of goods Germany might easily eas-ily make such giant strides as to win supremacy su-premacy in foreign trade in a relatively short time.
