In the frantic rush of war preparation the industrial centers of the east and the pots along both coasts got the cream of the war business. The middle west was but little affected. Cities like Fargo, for instance, scarcely knew, from an in Jus-trial Jus-trial standpoint, that a war was in progress. pro-gress. There was little or no change in the industrial life. But now that the war is. over, the big industrial centers are finding that war industries were not an umixed blessing. Another great upheaval is in progress, as the industries return to a peace basis. It is only in such centers that unemployment, unemploy-ment, problems are pressing. Meanwhile the middle west is one great grain field, carrying the promise 'of the greatest crop ever grown in America, with the certainty of top, prices for all products. The middle west is stirring with optimism and prosperity.. If the crope materialize, nothing can stem the tide of prosperity in the greatectip;qr the country lying between the AllegenieV and the Rockies. The crops will force the building pperations despite high prices.
