Show State Fair News. Appointments of assistant supervisors super-visors In tho various departments ot the Utah Stato Fair are already being be-ing made, Robert H. Hinckley ot Mt. Pleasant has been choson assist-ant assist-ant supervisor of the Cattlo dopart-Jfent. dopart-Jfent. Professor J. C. Hogensen-ot the Utah Agricultural Collcgo has been appointed supervisor of tho Boys and Girls clubs; and Harlow H. Grow of Salt Lake, has again boon appointed assistant supervisor of tho Poultry department. Thcso men aro already In dhect touch with tho work of their departments all of which auger well for tho success ot the fair as far as this work Is concerned. The outlook for a splendid response from exhibitors of fancy stock at tho coming fair Is splendid. Many or the exhibitors at tho recent show In Salt Lake expressed themselves as certain ot participation In the big annual exposition. ex-position. An othor Item ot great Interest Is that within all likelihood an exhibition exhibi-tion furnished by the United States government Including various forms of war actlvtles will bo shown. This exhibition will bo comprehcnslvo In nature and will be placed In tho remodeled re-modeled manufacturers 'building up' rhalrs whero splendid facilities will . Jfbo provided. Tho fair board this year Is expending expend-ing thousands ot dollars in tho construction con-struction ot a floor and adequato en-trauco en-trauco upstairs In the manufacturers building. 'Ono of the Inte'restlng fca-"tures fca-"tures of this year's fair is that tho fact that the dates have been arranged arrang-ed to come just after the Colorado and" the Northwestern rfair datlngs, makes It possible' for tho racing strings which run over tho Colorado circuits as well as those from the' Northwestern and Pacific fair and racing circuits will be able' to come to Salt Lake City. This assures one of the best racing programs ever secured se-cured here. Already tho new coops for the poultry departments aro being moved into the now poultry building, and arrangements aro being porfected to accommodate tho heavy demand in this'' department this year. |
