Show ARMT TBAINING CORPS NEWS Men eligible to enter the collegiate colleg-iate section (section D) of tho Stu-dents' Stu-dents' Army Training Corps may bo Inducted Into tho unit established. .at tho Utah Agricultural College beginning be-ginning Monday, September 23, according ac-cording to special action just takon by the Board of Trustees of the Institution, In-stitution, in conformity with authority author-ity granted by the War department. To secure induction into Section B, men must appear at tho College, register for school 'work, and pass a physical examination glten by physicians phy-sicians provided by ' the institution. Those eligible for such Induction 'must be graduated or a standard high school or possess at least thirteen thir-teen units of high" school work, registered reg-istered for military services under the selective service regulations, and physically fit They should bring their high school credit or evidence of their graduation from high school If graduates,' with them, who they appear for Induction. Men may not be inducted into the S. A. T. C. it they have been designated for some other form of military service by their draft boards before orders for their Induction into the S. A. T. C. have been placed In the hands of tho boards. Tho induction of all men eligible who registered for military service on September 12 will be handled by college authorities and local draft boards. For all other registrants, papers concerning their Induction must be sent to the offices of the Provost Marshal General, at Washington, D. C, It Is very important that all men eligible to enter section- B who de-hire de-hire to do bo make their application on September 23 or as soon thereafter there-after as possible. Otherwise they may be assigned to till the next regular reg-ular draft quota on October 7, and rendered' Ineligible for the Students' Army Training corps. j - r Itogular work In tho S. A. T. They must be assigned to?the institution by the local draft boards.' The college will receive all such men la the; regular vocational work of the lastltutlo'n,. however, Including Includ-ing college work whea the ,men are Qualified to pulsus it, as regular students. These' men will not be members of the S. A. T. C. at4 there- .fore will not receive ttiiltorms, rations, ra-tions, quarters and monthly pay. They may later be assigned, to Section Sec-tion A by the local draft boards, however, and equipment, rations, housing and pay will date from such assignment. The fact that they are.
