McAdoo gives as his reason for resigning i his position as Secretary of the Treasury, and Director- g$ General of Railroads, that it becomes necessary for him. K&- to replenish his private fortune, and thus the matter lK stands. We see no reason to question the stand aken by ffijfy the Secretary and it becomes more evident that the step is mm taken in good faith, when tho size of the salarv is consid- IB ered.
