The College boys have been pjay-Ing pjay-Ing a great game all season and probably were suffering from a dose of over-conldence.'The Preston team la a bunch of fighters and can easily upset ihe dope If tulr opponents think, them easy. The College team will no doubt got busy and take a good lesson from their defeat and make li tho last one. From an experience standpoint, the two teams are about equal. Coach Knapp's boys are all new at Ue gamo as are Coach Cutler's men. ' The game Itself wan the real , article. The rooters from Oneida were here In large numbers to support their team. They said nothing of their coming In such large numbers and they really ut ene over the local school. Coach Knapp's team really lost the game from the -foul line. They were unable to pitch their usual number of free pitches. Fuhrimaa and Hale were were guarded and could net make their usual, number f flletd baskets. Jones at guard Is a real basketball man and waa easily the best man oa the floor. Marler the other guard Is too rough and delays team work, by trying to get even with his opponents. The final score waa 32-31 In favor ot Oneida. The first half ended In a tie score of ,14 to 14. Russei Berntson of the U. A. C. was referee while Coach Nelson of the Academy was umpire. |
