There has always been more or !j5m? less a gap between the schools and $, the p'eople but this is being ellmln- ' ated In the case ot the Agricultural '- College with Its extension work and lv the annual Farmers Roundup and j " Housekeepers' Conference. Here the theoretical and practical sides are brought together and the large at-'' at-'' tendance at the Roundup every year IS proof that the gap has been closed. , Through the extension work the school Is taken to the very homes of the people who cannot arranga to attend the Institution. , Realising the importance pf tho College to the city, state, and' nation . and the good the annual Round-Up Is doing, the Commercial Boosters' I Club extends a hearty welcome to I ' the visitors as special guests and I " they are welcome at any time during I ' the day and the evening when they I are down town 'to visit the club H rooms and partake of the Club's hos- pltallty. In order to make this welcome more material, all the members ot the Hound-Up are guests ot the Club at Its annual Open House on Friday evening at 7:30 o'clock. This will be an excellent opportunity for tho visitors to meet more of the business men and enjoy .themselves in dancing,' danc-ing,' games, etc. A short spicy program pro-gram has been, provided and the committee feels that It Is prepared to show all a good time. The affair Is strictly Informal so that everyone can feel free. The business men are asked to go out ot their way to make tho visitors visit-ors feel at home and extend the glad hand ot welcome. The more we have come to the Bound-Up and are favorably Impressed with It and the city, the more good live boosters boost-ers we have going away talking for us. It Is to our Interests to see that they get good Impressions. |
