Show ft PIIODUCKR VKR8U8 CONSUMER There are those who are worktng on the theory that the man who produces pro-duces is entitled to special favors because he Is the whole show;- that all else Is a side issue. But what would become of the farmer If the non-producing masses suddenly ceased ceas-ed to exist? What would grain bo worth if tho farmer bad no non-producer to consume? Suppose that we close every factory in the land, put every man to producing his own food, on tbe theory that Industry in Illegitimate, and the producer everything. every-thing. What will become of tho farmer? We mention this because wo desire de-sire to show that the body of the state does not differ one lota froth the human body, that the eye must serve the entire body, and in turn is served by all the other organs .and parts of the .body. The feet and the hands and the stomach are not one whit more important than the multitude multi-tude of holes, called pores, in the skin, or the teeth that masticate the food. v Society is a complex mass, and it Is right that each class should strive hard for a square deal; but remember remem-ber that an Injury to industry Is a blow at the farmer's markets, and that special privileges to any class, producer or consumer, Is wrong. Let us stand always for a square deal. Idaho Republican. |
