Show MISS DUNFORD SELECTED AS VALEDICTORIAN Nlsn Rachel Dunford, daughter of Dr. A. II. Dunford of Salt Lake City, baa been selected by the faculty of the Utah Agricultural College, as valedictorian for the senior class. The award was made on -a basis of scholarship. The average scholarship scholar-ship of Miss Dunford for her junior and senior years placed her at tbo bead ot the list. Miss Dunford has been very active ac-tive In student affairs while a stud-eat stud-eat of tho Utah Agricultural College. Col-lege. She is a member of the Sort-lis Sort-lis Society, of the Home Economics .Club, and has doue much Red Cross work. She has also acted as assistant assist-ant to Mrs. Georgia 13., Johnson, director di-rector ot physical education for wo-men wo-men at the Institution, and appeared (ln several special dances In the opera Boccaccio produced by the music department de-partment this spring. At tho samo session, tho faculty voted to reverse tho general order of Commencement exorcises by which the graduatltiK exercises nro held following fol-lowing the baccalaureate sermon and confer tho degrees before tho address. This will throw Commencement Commence-ment on Saturday, June 1, Instead of Tuesday, June 4. Tho baccalaureate "'sermon will bo delivered as scheduled on Sunday, Juno 2. Tho speaker has not yet been determined upon. Thin 'arrangement will reduce tho length of the school year slightly. |
