Tho city board of education tonight passed a resolution reso-lution calling a special election Wed noBday, March 24, to bavo tho tax payors veto on tho proposition of Issuing Is-suing $200,000 In bonds to build two new school buildings, remodel five school buildings, nnd perhaps build an addition to tbo Ogdcn High school building. This school election will bo held threo days before tho special election elec-tion called by the city tommlssiou to put tho proposition of voting $75,000 in bonds for waterworks improvements improve-ments before tho taxpayers. In tho report of the building committee com-mittee consisting of Hyrum 1'lngrco and J. W. Lovendalil, which was adopted, It was recommended that a now school building bo built north of Ogdeu river to avoid tho neces-1 neces-1 slty of sending children ot that district dis-trict to tho center of tho city. It la estimated that such a building would cost $3S,000. Tho second proposed now building would bo built In West Ogdcn and would cost between 12000 and 15000. Should tho bond Issuo carry, about $32,500 will bo spent on tbo Madison school, $30,000 on tho Dee, $30,000 on tho Lowls, $20,000 on tho Central, and $2,500 on the Plvo 1'olnts. Tho shop and physical culturo building at tho high school will cost about $40,000 It was estimated.
