Among tho good sisters who worked hard was Sister Mary A. rtcoso, tho president presi-dent of tho Rellof Society. Work of this sort gives ovldenco of thoso who nro public spirited and are willing to 'work as woll as praj and preach. There wero a good many of the Benson peoplo who attended tho funeral fu-neral services of their old friend and relative, Brother David Grant at Hydo Park on Sunday. Among whom was his brother in law "Grandpa" John Recso. At our services last ovening wo .wero favored with a visit from Elders El-ders Andreas Peterson and Charles R. Spencer as homo missionaries and Sister J. C. Hogensen who came In tho Interest of the Beehive girls. Their talks wero very instructive and Interesting. Brother Guy L. Reeso favored us with a solo and four other brethren of tho choir rendered a quartet. quar-tet. Benson is wot nnd has been now for nearly two weeks with a wetness that moans growth nnd wealth. It is a wetness that does not mean impoverished impov-erished homes, brokenhearted wives and mothers, and brokendown husbands, hus-bands, nnd recklessness of our stnl-wart stnl-wart and promising sons. The wet- CZ ncss of our ward is giving ovldenco of its vnluo in tho growth of our grnin fields, our sugar beets, In fact our vegetation ot all kinds. When a town, city, county, stato or nation, goes wot with these results all may rejolco and thank tho giver of all good and perfect gifts. |
