Sports committee to have many attractions to entertain the children as well as the grown-ups. Logan Is to havo a genuine cole-bratlon cole-bratlon of State Day, July 24. The committees havo hold .their first preliminary pre-liminary meeting and have outlined a pogram of the day's events which will Include the firing of cannon, parade, pa-rade, meeting, children's sports, base hall, pushball, dance on the pavoment in the open air, .fireworks and many other things which will add to the. interest in-terest of tho occasion. Joseph Qulnney Jr., chairman of the arrangements commltteo, met with, the chairmen of the subcommittees on Thursday evening and tho details wero discussed at length and it is tho Intention to make tho occasion one long to bo remembered. Joseph It. Jensen, cha'rman of tho outoor sports committee Is arranging arrang-ing many novel sports which will bo great entertainment for the children. The push ball which has been talked of so much but never ijeen locally is being arranged for. Races will bo given and prizes awarded tho win-ners. win-ners. Tho open air dance oh the pavement In front of the tabernaclo in the evening Is sa'd to be a sure go. Tho baseball game will probably bo between tho Logan Federals and tho "WGllsvIHe nine. I--Ui Prof. George B, Hendricks and his vtT committee on program will work out a detailed program Including some of the best musical talent to be had In the Valley, The commltteo Is now looking for the person, wh0 can make the best Oration for the day. Somo son or a pioneer family who has all tho ability that is noeded to make a stirring speech, reviewing 'briefly tho significance of the May, is tho kind of an orator wanted.
