Show CHILD BORN AT WHITE, ROUSE Washington, Jnn. 17. A son was born to tho White Houso today to Mrs. Francis Bowes Snyre, President WIIs.on's second daughter. Mrs. Sayro and tho child woro reported to bo doing well. Tho child wns born at 4:30 o'clock this ufternoon, but the fact was not formally announced until C o'clock, when Secretary Tumulty gave out tho following statement: "Dr. Grayson, tho Whlto House physician, states that at 4:30 o'clock Mrs. Sayro gave birth to a fine boy. Everything went perrectly nnd both nro doing well." Tho boy weighed seven nnd a hnlt pounds. I President Wilson made no effort to concoal his Joy when Informed that I tho child was a boy and that Mrs. Sayro was well. Hlg face was1 wreathed In smiles for hours after-1 wards. It was .his llrst grandchild and tho president has no boys or his own. Mr. Sayro who Is assistant to President Garfield or Williams Col lege, was not at tho Whlto House when his son was born.
