Show METHODISTS TO HOLD MIDYEAR CONFERENCE , Prominent Speakers Will Attend to Discuss Home and Foreign Work of Church Salt Lake, Jnn. 31. Workors ot tho hom0 and forolgn missions of tho Methodist Episcopal church will hold a midyear conference at tho Illff Methodist Me-thodist Episcopal church, Ninth East and First South, Thursday and Friday of this week. It will bo uttonded by representatives of churches in tho northern Utah districts and forolgn missions. Progress or tho work during dur-ing tho past year will ho discussed and work outlined for tho current year. The ionvcntlon will open Thursday night at 7:30 o'clock. Tho Itov. Charles L. Mead, pastor ot Trinity church at Deuvor who will dcllvor an address at the opening session, will attend tho conference as a representative repre-sentative of tho commission on evangelism. evan-gelism. Dr. E. It. Fulkerson of New York representing tho board of forolgn missions will talk Friday morning on "Tho Parish Abroad." In tho afternoon after-noon F. W. Dross will conduct tho song servlco and testimony mooting L, A. Jones will discuss "Education and Prlco Acadomy," and "Tho Italian Itali-an Populations ot Salt Lako and Bingham Canyon" will bo tho subject of a talk by tho Itov. J. M. A. Papa ot Butte, Mont., during tho afternoon. Tho eonforonco will bo brought to a closo by an address by Dr. Fulkerson. Fulk-erson. Tho Bong service and devotions devo-tions of tho closing session will be conducted by Dr. Will A. Botts.
